Today explore the fascinating city of Phnom Penh. You will start your tour at Wat Phnom, a symbol of the capital and regularly used for prayer, small offerings and meditation. Built in 1373, it stands at 27 meters and is the tallest religious structure in the city. Afterwards visit the Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda and the elegant National Museum which contains a comprehensive collection of Khmer art. Continue on to Tuol Sleng Museum (Museum of Genocide also known as Security Prison 21 or S-21). Formerly a high school, it was also used as a facility for Khmer Rouge regime interrogation. Finally explore Phnom Penh’s famous Central and Russian market.
Day 3 • Phnom Penh / Siem Reap AB, L
Today visit Angkor Wat. This religious citadel is one of the largest temple complexes in the world. Built by the Khmer civilization between 802 and 1220 AD, it represents one of mankind’s most amazing architectural achievements. Today’s visit also includes Preah Khan temple built by King Jayavarman VII, with its shoulder hugging corridors in a jungle setting as well as the smaller Banteay Srei temple considered the jewel of classical Khmer art.
Day 4 • Siem Reap AB, L
Today’s sightseeing begins with the fortified city of Angkor Thom. Covering 10 square kilometers, it is the last and most enduring capital city of the Khmer empire. Entering through the monumental South Gate lined by statues of demons and gods you continue on to the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of Leper Kings, formerly places of public ceremonies and adorned with dramatic bas reliefs. Visit the ruins of Baphoun, Royal Enclosure and Phimeanakas. Then explore Bayon Temple one of the most popular and compelling in Angkor. The Bayon’s most distinctive feature is the massive stone faces on the towers which jut out from the upper terrace and central peak. The temple is also known for two impressive sets of bas-reliefs. Your visit will also take you to the temples of Ta Keo, Thommanon and Chau Say Tevoda.
Day 5 • Siem Reap / Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) AB, L
Today’s excursion is to the Cu Chi Tunnels, an important Vietcong base during the Vietnam War. These incredible tunnels were dug out by hand over a 25 year period. Afterwards tour Reunification Palace, which formerly housed the South Vietnamese president. Continue to the War Remnants Museum, which documents the American – Vietnam War. Sightseeing will also include a visit to the Emperor Jade Pagoda, Cholon (Chinatown), Binh Tay Market, Thien Hau Pagoda, and Ben Thanh Market.

Sail past floating villages, fishermen casting their nets and pearl fisheries and observe the rhythms of daily life on the bay.
Day 9 • Halong / Hanoi AB
The morning is at leisure. Then transfer by motorcoach to Hanoi and check into your hotel.
Day 10 • Hanoi AB, L, D
Begin your day visiting the Temple Of Literature, a peaceful series of walled courtyards and graceful gateways, and one of the best surviving examples of traditional Vietnamese architecture. Continue to the miniature One Pillar Pagoda, which dates from the 11th century. Begin at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, containing the embalmed body of Ho Chi Minh. Continue through the park to Ho Chi Minh Stilt House, the simple two-room dwelling where Ho Chi Minh lived from 1948 until his final days. Finally discover the old quarter of Hanoi by pedicab. This fascinating network of streets also known as The 36 streets, where each street is named after the merchandise sold there. The afternoon is at leisure. After dinner, enjoy an entertaining performance at Water Puppet Theatre, a unique art form that originated in northern Vietnam over a thousand years ago.

PROTECT YOUR TRAVEL INVESTMENT – Sometimes the unexpected can force you to cancel your trip. Consider the sickness or injury of you, your family member or your traveling companion; or a terrorist event in a city on your itinerary; bad weather that delays your departure; or storm damage to your home. Purchase your plan within fourteen (14) days of your initial trip deposit to be eligible for waiver of pre-existing conditions. You must be medically able to travel at the time you purchase the plan and this must be the first booking for the same travel period and destination.
PROTECT YOURSELF – No one plans to get sick or injured while traveling but what if it happens to you? Many group medical plans do not provide coverage when you are overseas or traveling outside of network. Most have no coverage for Emergency Medical Evacuation. Our plan provides benefits for up to $25,000 in medical expenses incurred while traveling, and up to $50,000 for Emergency Medical Evacuation.
PROTECT YOUR PROPERTY – Coverage is included for lost baggage up to $1,000 and up to $300 to reimburse you for expenses for essential items in the event your baggage is delayed.
PROTECT YOUR PEACE OF MIND – Valuable 24-hour Assistance Services are only a phone call away. Services include pre-departure planning such as weather, inoculation information, and passport and visa information. If you become sick or are injured while traveling our assistance specialists can direct you to the nearest medical facility providing the level of care you need as well as coordinate necessary emergency medical evacuation or the bedside visit of a family member or friend of your choice should you be hospitalized away from home. The above are highlights of the Plan. You will be provided a Description of Coverage containing the complete terms, conditions and exclusions that apply, with your travel documents. You may review the Description of Coverage online at www.pacificdelighttours.com or by calling Travel Insured International at 1-866-684-0218. Plan is designed by Travel Insured International. Insurance is underwritten by Arch Insurance Company, licensed in all states and the District of Columbia, and headquartered in New Jersey. This is a brief coverage description.
